Easter in Uganda

I know Easter is already a thing of the past, but this isn’t going to be an Easter post exactly 😉 It just so happened that we decided to get out of Rwanda and explore the neighbouring Uganda for the long Easter weekend. Last Sunday in Pilanesberg National Park

Last weekend I went to South Africa to attend a course. It was taking place during this week but I’d decided to go a couple of days earlier to see old friends and do some shopping. The friends I stayed with had already made a plan to go to Pilanesberg on Sunday, and since they had space in their car, I was able to join them. A fiery weekend in Akagera National Park

A week and a half ago we decided to dig out our tent and go to Akagera National Park in the east of Rwanda for a long weekend (15th August was a holiday). We loved camping in South African parks and nature reserves, and have been missing it since leaving the country in December last year. Akagera is about 2.5 hours’ drive from Kigali so perfect for a weekend away to chill close to nature.
